Ramtek is a famous city in Nagpur district of Maharashtra state, India. Lord Rama stayed here for some time during his exile, hence the name Ramtek. This city, located 50 kilometers from Nagpur, is very beautiful. There is a high mountain to the east of the city. There is a 600-year-old temple of Lord Shri Ram on it, which offers a very panoramic view of the entire surrounding area. There is a huge Nandi in the Ram temple area. Nandivardhan Fort is located at Nagardhan to the south of Ramtek. Nagarjuna Hill, Athrabhuja Ganesh, Khindsi Lake, Shantinath Temple are also located in Ramtek.

Ramtek Agricultural Produce Market Committee was established on 19/10/1973 and in the year 1985-86, a separate market committee was formed for Parshivani Taluka to be divided from Ramtek Market Committee and due to the division of Mauda Agricultural Produce Market Committee on 24/12/2014, a total of 157 villages have been determined in Ramtek Taluka. The committee has started a grain, vegetable, cattle market in the premises at Ramtek for farmers, Adate and traders and the committee has also started a sub-market at Devlapar. The Market Committee has always been working with the interests of farmers as a priority. The Hon'ble Director of Marketing, Maharashtra State, Pune and District Sub-Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Nagpur have regulated agricultural produce such as cotton (scoured and unscoured), jowar, bajra, maize, kothra, tur, gram, urad, soybean, moong, pea, sesame, castor, flax, wheat, paddy, rice, gram, groundnut, orange, lemon, banana, guava, onions, tomatoes, coriander, chilli (fresh and dried), potatoes, leafy vegetables, and vegetables, sweet potato etc., as well as cattle, goats, sheep and fish, from time to time through government notifications.
